Dinner for Eight

As college students, do you remember what it was like to crave a home-cooked meal after weeks of institutional food or long for a warm, cozy home filled with friendly, family-type people? Would you like to swap a few "I remember when" stories with current Roberts students? Then Dinner for Eight is the ministry for you!

Last year was our second Dinner for Eight. Twenty-three alumni families warmly offered their homes to 116 students. If you live locally and would like to host six students for a home-cooked meal and warm conversation, email Alumni Office or call 594-6355 to sign up. It can be any night that is convenient for you, March 4 through April 1, 2007. Weekday dinners should begin between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m. and end no later than 9:00 p.m., as students should be getting back to their studies. Many families find that a Saturday evening or early Sunday afternoon works well.

Just a reminder:

Roberts Wesleyan College Announces

Important Verification Project for Alumni

Roberts Wesleyan College alumni will soon be contacted in connection with an important verification project for the College. Data Verification Forms will be mailed to all alumni in March 2007.  Each form will be imprinted with the information currently on file for alumni.  It’s important that all alumni take just a few minutes to look over the data listed on the Verification Form.  For many, it’s been years since this information has been updated.  As a result, a significant number of our records contain out-dated and incomplete information. As a special courtesy to our alumni, the information gathered during this special data verification project will be incorporated in the upcoming College directory project.   Alumni are strongly urged to mail back their completed Verification Forms within 14 days of receipt – even if there are no updates to the information listed.  This timely response will help to make sure alumni have taken advantage of this important opportunity to confirm the accuracy of the information.

Undergraduate Business Division Newsletter

Check out the exciting things happening in the Business Program at Roberts Wesleyan College in the   Undergraduate Business Program Winter Newsletter.

Also, hear from the Director Ervin Starr, who asks,“Will you risk becoming a student leader?” The program’s theme for the year is Student Leadership, a term Starr says is, upon first glance, an oxymoron, “combining two apparent opposite ideas of servanthood and leading.” He challenges jRoberts business students to risk being the first to jump! Read stories from students who dared to leap into the unknown and watch God unfold His purpose in their lives.
