On-call clerical volunteers provide mailing services throughout the school year. In addition, volunteers assist with countless special events. Contact Sue Resig at (585) 594-6500 or resig_susan@roberts.edu .

The Roberts Cultural Life Center volunteers provide valuable services to the campus and community in many ways. Cultural Life Event Facilitators, or C.L.E.F., as we refer to our volunteers, can serve as ushers and ticket takers for many performances, office assistants to help with mailings and publicity, backstage and technical assistants for events, or attendants for the Davison Gallery exhibits. For more information about serving as a volunteer in the CLC, contact Darrell Mahle, at (585)594-6093 or Mahle_Darrell@roberts.edu

Additional Opportunities

Roberts Wesleyan College welcomes gifts of time, expertise, and involvement from her alumni! Here are some of the ways alumni help provide “Education For Character” at Roberts Wesleyan:

EVENTS

Finals Week Christmas Care Bags – Local alumni deliver purchased goodies to our office on campus, and we deliver them just when they need an extra “boost” – the first day of finals week. For information and to Sign up Click here!

Homecoming/Class Reunions – Homecoming annually draws hundreds of alumni, parents & friends to campus. Alumni volunteer as…

  • Planners on the Homecoming Committee
  • Drivers in the Homecoming Parade
  • Vendors at the Homecoming Tent
  • Hosts at Class Reunions
  • And in many more ways!

Mark your calendars & plan to attend! To find out how you can help with Homecoming and/or any of the above events, contact Alumni Relations at alumni@roberts.edu or call 585.594.6407 now to find out how you can help!

Phonathon – Callers are needed for two annual phonathons. Each fall, we call alumni and friends to raise money for student scholarships.  In the spring, callers generate support for the Annual Fund. These are great ways to re-connect with fellow alum, exchange information and provide an opportunity for people to financially support Roberts. Come join the fun!
For more information, contact Kelly Smith, Director of Donor & Government Relations at 585.594.6496 or Smith_KellyE@roberts.edu

Scholarship Golf Tournament - One of the most fun ways to help! Come golf in our Scholarship Tournament. We are excited to announce a new location this coming year in '09 at the Brook-Lea Country Club. We also welcome alumni help in organizing this event. For more information, contact Kelly Smith, Director of Donor & Government Relations at 585.594.6496 or Smith_KellyE@roberts.edu

PROGRAMS

RWC Link Program - In cooperation with the Career Planning & Placement Office, Link connects Roberts alumni with current students and other alumni for consultation, advice, internships and job opportunities. There are four ways for alumni to get involved:

Shadowing – Students spend a day with a Roberts alumnus/a currently working in a career they might want.

Career Mentoring – Alumni advise and encourage students in their journey toward the profession of their choice.

Career Advisory Network – Alumni assist each other in finding appropriate work within a particular industry and/or geographic area.

Alumni Career Connections – Alumni serve as panelists for a questions-and-answer-style session with students in these career fields. For more information, contact Mary Flaherty, Career Planning and Placement Coordinator at 585.594.6540 or Flahertym@roberts.edu

Roberts Alumni Recruiting Efforts - The Admissions Office would love to connect Roberts alumni with prospective students at college fairs, youth group gatherings, and through correspondence and phone calls. Successful alumni make fantastic recruiters, especially when they speak fondly and enthusiastically about the “Education for Character” they received at Roberts Wesleyan College.  For more information, contact Admissions at 800.777.4RWC or admission@roberts.edu for more information on how you can help.

MORE OPPORTUNITIES
