Donating stocks, bonds, & securities

Thank you for considering a gift to Roberts Wesleyan College! The following steps will help make the process convenient and efficient.

1. Please notify us that you are making a gift by contacting:

Please include in your fax, letter or e-mail the following information:

• Your name and address

• The date of the gift

• The name of the security and the number of shares you are donating

• The name and location of your broker

• The designation of your gift (e.g., Scholar Sharing Fund, Golisano Library project, etc).

Or, contact us online by filling out an information form

2. Roberts currently uses Wachovia Securities as its brokerage firm.  Our broker is Keith Bock.  If you plan to donate electronically, please give your broker the following information:

3. If you have possession of the actual stock certificates, you may mail or deliver them to us.  For your protection, please send us UNDER SEPARATE COVER properly endorsed stock power forms to authorize us to negotiate those certificates. NOTE: It is best not to sign over the stock certificate to Roberts Wesleyan for security and processing reasons. Marna Distaffen would be glad to assist you with this transaction.

4. Upon completion of the transfer, you will receive a formal letter of acknowledgement.
