Admission Requirements
Accelerated Modular RN to BSN Program
To be admitted to the Modular RN to BSN Program, an RN must document that he/she:
 |
Is a registered professional nurse licensed in NY State, and graduated from an accredited associate degree or diploma nursing program. |

Is currently working at least 20 hours per week in a position requiring RN licensure and has had two years work experience as a Registered Nurse. |
 |
Has a minimum of 62 semester hours of transferable credit from regionally accredited colleges and universities. Credits from diploma programs will be transferred with evidence that Program was NLN accredited and documentation of the number of clock hours for classroom and clinical practice for each course. |

Is able to express thought in written form as shown by:
| completion of an acceptable writing sample |
| AND |
| completion of a college writing course with a grade of C- or better |

Has submitted two recommendations, one from a supervisor and one from a colleague. |
 |
Has had collegiate or equivalent life experience that can be defined as broadening and multi-disciplined, especially in regard to the sciences and humanities, in order to ensure that he/she has the potential to meet graduation criteria. |

Has submitted the following: completed application, portfolio planner, and official transcripts from every college or university attended sent directly to the Division of Nursing at Roberts Wesleyan College. |
 |
Has attended an information meeting. |

Admissions Policies

Students who have taken Child Psychology may transfer the credits and meet this Divisional requirement by self-study and passing Division Exam (70% correct) for Adolescent Psychology. This exam does not earn credit. |
 |
No more than 72 credits may come from community college, junior college, or bible colleges. |

Courses Needed for Admission
 |
28 credits of nursing (including Nutrition, unless Nutrition was integrated into nursing courses). |
 |
21-24 support courses (including, Sociology, Writing, Psychology, A&P, Microbiology, and Developmental Psychology). |

10-12 credits of Electives |
