Admissions

Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited associate degree or diploma nursing program.
  • Registered Nurse licensure in the United States or Canada.
  • Current employment of at least 20 hours per week as a Registered Nurse.
  • Two years of work experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • A minimum of 62 semester credit hours of transferable credit from regionally accredited colleges and universities.
Admission Requirements
  1.  Attend an informational meeting.
  2. Submit application with non-refundable $35 fee or apply on line at no cost.
  3. Submit a copy of your Registered Nurse Certification. (Must include expiration date.)
  4. Submit official transcripts from each college or university attended.
  5. Submit Recommendation of Professional Colleague.
  6. Submit Recommendation of Supervisor.
  7. Complete and submit the Portfolio Planner (distributed at the Information Meeting).
  8. Provide a writing sample, which demonstrates the competency required for succeeding in the program.
  9. Submit Financial Aid forms to the Financial Aid office (if applicable).
  10. Submit Immunization form to the Health Services office.  Required for Roberts Wesleyan College on-campus groups only.
  • All forms, excluding official transcripts, can be faxed (585-594-6593).
  • Your application will be reviewed by the Program Director and you will receive a letter regarding your status.  If accepted into the program you will receive a Transfer Credit Evaluation (TCE), Graduation Requirements, and a deposit form.  Submit the form with your non-refundable $350 deposit to the Admission Coordinator to secure your position in the program.
