I first learned of Roberts Wesleyan College as the Staff Development Director of an area community hospital when the hospital was asked to provide a clinical experience for a Roberts Wesleyan College nursing student. I was impressed by the holistic approach and critical thinking displayed by the student. I was pleased when she chose to work at our hospital when she completed her nursing degree. I then had the privilege of collaborating with members of the Roberts Wesleyan Nursing Faculty as they embarked on the Modular RN to BS program in our community. As I watched nurses who pursued their BS from Roberts, I noticed a transformation take place in their approach to caring for patients. Improvements in nursing care were made through their student projects.
My dream was to eventually teach nursing in a small, private college. God provided this opportunity for me at Roberts and I am pleased to be serving in this capacity.
