Dr. Daniel Barta was most recently the Head of Theory and Composition at Philadelphia Biblical University.  Twice he has been honored by inclusion in Who's Who Among America's Teachers.  Dr. Barta holds the B.Mus., M.Mus., and DMA from Temple University where he studied with Clifford Taylor, Maurice Wright, and Matthew Greenbaum.  He recently collaborated on a set of Hans Christian Andersen stories for story teller and chamber ensemble, three of which were presented at the Hans Christian Andersen Conference in Salt Lake city.  His most recent commission was  A Hymn Sing:  Five Sacred Songs for David Kim, concertmaster of the Philadelphia Orchestra.  Two of his works for keyboard, Suite for Piano and Toccata Joyeuse (for organ), have recently been released on the DTR label.  He is published by Concordia and Choristers Guild.
