Scholarship Information
The following Music Major Scholarships are available to music majors in good standing.
Endowed Music Scholarships are in addition to the merit-based Music Audition Scholarships awarded by Roberts Wesleyan College.
Pending the yearly approval of the Presser Foundation, the Theodore Presser Scholarship is awarded to an outstanding music student at the end of his or her junior year. The music faculty, using the following criteria, chooses a “Presser Scholar”: GPA, achievement in musical performance, and contributions to the department.
The Paul Adams Music Scholarship is awarded to a deserving music student.
The Douglas W. and Carolyn J. Illsley Endowed Scholarship Fund, is awarded to students pursuing a music major.
The Charles Richard Schaefer Memorial Scholarship is for a deserving music student with special interest in sacred music and/or composing sacred choral or organ music.
The Mildred M. Schoenhals Memorial Music Scholarship is awarded to a Free Methodist student majoring in music who shows academic and music potential and demonstrates loyalty to Christ.
The Chester C. and Alice E. Crill Music Scholarship is for a deserving student of Roberts Wesleyan College majoring in music.
The Mildred E. Meyer Music Scholarship is awarded to a Music Major with a woodwind instrumental concentration.
The Pfouts Music Scholarship is awarded to a deserving senior Music Major at the end of the junior year.
The Roy Harner Music Scholarship is awarded to a senior Music Major with a French horn, piano, or organ concentration. The award is made at the end of the junior year.
