Thank you for your interest in the Division of Natural Science and Mathematics at Roberts Wesleyan College. Roberts provides an exciting learning environment, which values education from a Christian perspective and recognizes the importance of integrating this perspective into our specific disciplines and future professions.
Our division consists of the departments of biology, biochemistry, chemistry, computer science, mathematics, and physics and offers traditional majors in each of these five disciplines. Additionally, there are several pre-professional programs in place at Roberts such as dentistry, medicine, pharmacy, physical therapy, and veterinary medicine. Also, Roberts has several cooperative programs in place in engineering (with Clarkson University, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and Rochester Institute of Technology), medical technology (with Rochester General Hospital and Women’s Christian Association Hospital), and pharmacy (University at Buffalo-SUNY). Furthermore, several of our majors are interdisciplinary in nature, such as Economic Crime Investigation and Forensic Science (with criminal justice), Information Systems Management (with business) and teaching certification (with education).
Numerous opportunities exist for students to get involved within the division through conducting research, assisting in the laboratory, tutoring students, leading study groups, joining math/science clubs, and participating in faith integration discussions. Our graduates repeatedly find success in gaining admission to graduate programs or professional schools, and obtaining employment after graduation.
