2010-2011 Mission Trips Schedule:
El Salvador: February 2011
Leader: Glen and Morgan Dornsife
Estimated Cost: $1800-2000
Activities: Through an arrangement with Christ for the City – El Salvador trip includes a soccer school, medical facility, community outreach and church development.
Habitat for Humanity: February 2011
Leader: Dr. Jason Taylor
Estimated Cost: $550-600
Activities: Summary: This trip is organized to provide continued help to the Gulf Coast Region that was devastated three years ago when hurricane Katrina moved through the area. This years trip will be to Alabama to help rebuild residential areas. Most of the work done on site is construction type projects, i.e. putting up drywall, pouring cement for foundations, painting, demolition/cleaning debris out of homes, repairing damaged walls, etc.
Haiti: May 2011
Leader: Professor Amy Ensign
Estimated Cost: $1500-1600 (includes funds for supplies)
Activities: Through Free Methodist Missions the Roberts team will work in areas effected by the earthquake in reconstruction, rebuilding and renovating devistated areas.
Dublin, Ireland: May 2011
Leader: Todd Daningburg
Estimated Cost: $1700-2000
Activities: Through Dublin Christian Mission the team will spend the week working with children and teens by way of afterschool programs, VBS and night events.
Chile: February 2011
Leader: Professor Berry Smith
Estimated Cost:$1800-2000
Activities: Through Free Methodist Missions the Roberts team will
work with Pastor Serge who will be linking Roberts students with university students in Chile to work side by side in the rebuilding and renovation post earthquake relief work.
France: May 2011
Leader: Pastor Jonathan Bratt
Estimated Cost:$2200-2500
Activities: Working to rebuild and renovate area church facilities for small churches to use for ministry. Team members will work with same small churches at night by leading worship and sharing testimonies.
