Lima Peru: February 14-22, 2009
Leader: Dr. Paul Stevenson/ Estimated Cost: $1300
Activities: Performing at 10,000 feet! The Peru Missions trip is looking for music types (band and vocalists) to perform at several venues including a National Youth Conference high in the Andes Mountains. We can use other individuals to support the music as well as VBS activities.
Mexico with Tapestries of Life: February 14-22, 2009
Leader: John Swick and Pastor Jon / Estimated Cost: $1300
Activities: We will be traveling to Guadeloupe, Mexico to spend the week working on an orphanage that will house 300-400 homeless Mexican children as soon as it is completed. There will be an assortment of jobs for everyone at the work site. We will also be traveling to the slums of Juarez, Mexico to distribute food to some of the poorest Mexican families.
Dominican Republic: February 14-22, 2009
Leader: Dave and LeeAnne Dunn/ Estimated Cost: $1400
Activities: Our ministry will include some physical labor in the morning, ministry to children in the afternoon and at night; we will be evangelizing and ministering through musical presentation to the people of Santo Domingo.
Katrina-Mississippi: February 14-22, 2009
Leader: Dr. Jason Taylor/ Estimated Cost: $625
Activities: This trip is organized to provide continued help to the Gulf Coast Region that was devastated three years ago when hurricane Katrina moved through the area. Typically, we travel to Bay St. Louis, Mississippi and volunteer through the St. Rose Outreach and Recovery group. Most of the work we do on site is construction type projects, i.e. putting up drywall, pouring cement for foundations, painting, demolition/cleaning debris out of homes, repairing damaged walls, etc.
Dublin, Ireland: May 9-17, 2009
Leader: Kirk and Michelle Kettinger/ Estimated Cost: $1700-2,000
Activities: The team will spend the week doing both ministry and service work. We will be serving with the mission’s homeless and after school programs throughout the week as well as performing needed maintenance work at the mission.
