El Salvador: February 2010
Leader: Glen and Morgan Dornsife/ Estimated Cost: $1250-1500
Activities: Through a arrangement with Christ for the City – El Salvador trip would be perfect for soccer players including a soccer school, medical facility, and community outreach and church development.
Tijuana, Mexico w/ Bittersweet Ministries: February 2010
Leader: Dr. Barry Smith / Estimated Cost: $1050
Activities: building/repair kinds of work, child camps/care, food, and water distribution.
Habitat for Humanity: February 2010
Leader: Dr. Jason and Rebecca Taylor/ Estimated Cost: $550-600
Activities: Summary: This trip is organized to provide continued help to the Gulf Coast Region that was devastated three years ago when hurricane Katrina moved through the area. Typically, we travel to Bay St. Louis, Mississippi and volunteer through the St. Rose Outreach and Recovery group. Most of the work we do on site is construction type projects, i.e. putting up drywall, pouring cement for foundations, painting, demolition/cleaning debris out of homes, repairing damaged walls, etc.
Grand Rapids, MI: February 2010
Leader: Jonathan and Janet Bratt/Estimated Cost: $250-300
Activities: Urban Plunge offers teams a venue to follow in the footsteps of Jesus, feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, and offering water to the thirsty. In addition this trip will offer 9 different service opportunities withing the inner-city.
Dublin, Ireland: May 2010
Leader: Kirk and Michelle Kettinger/ Estimated Cost: $1700-2,000
Activities: The team will spend the week doing both ministry and service work. We will be serving with the mission’s homeless and afterschool programs throughout the week as well as performing needed maintenance work at the mission.
Costa Rica: May 2010
Leader: Dave and LeeAnn Dunn/ Estimated Cost:$1946
Activities: The Costa Rica trip could include Evangelistic Outreach with music/puppets, VBS kinds of programs, or specializing in rehab for girls in alcohol/drug rehab, kids in street gangs – through sports evangelism, medical etc. depending on makeup of team.
