Travel- Foreign and Domestic
Travel — Studies Abroad
RWC provides insurance coverage for students/individuals traveling on trips:
- Mission Trips
- Study Abroad
- Tours
- Domestic Travel
- Field Trips
However, individuals traveling must be recorded for insurance purposes in order to be covered.
- Mission Trips are overseen by the Chaplains Office and a list of participants are provided to the Treasurer’s Office.
- Study Abroad – goes through Registration. All students are either obtaining a credit and are registered as a tuition paying student, or they are registered as auditing the class. Either way, their name appears on the class roster and is covered by RWC insurance.
- Tours – Each participant is required to register either to obtain credit for the “class” or audit the class. An audit fee is to be paid. Their name is included on the roster and covered by RWC insurance.
- Domestic Travel is grouped under field trips, missions or is handled through Registration.
- Field Trips are required activities – short term. A field trip notice is sent through Kathy Mulford’s with a description of the trip with dates and list of participants. The Treasurer’s Office is copied in. All required activities provide transportation. Any individual choosing not to use the transportation provided by RWC, understand the following:
- Vehicle driven is insured
- Licensed Driver
- By waiving the option to use the transportation provided by RWC, RWC is not responsible for damage or injuries incurred while traveling to, from, or during required activity/program.
