Dr. Joyce Wagner

Joyce Wagner earned her Master of Social Work degree at Roberts Wesleyan College and her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Regent University. She is an adjunct professor and guest lecturer for the Divisions of Social Science and Social Work at Roberts Wesleyan College and Director of the RWC Counseling Center. 

In her role as director Joyce manages a caseload of graduate and undergraduate students who may be dealing with past abuse issues, eating disorders/body image issues, self-injurious behavior, depression, anxiety, sexual orientation, addiction or working through various family and other relational issues.  Before her current position Joyce was a therapist in a group practice and worked specifically with children and family systems.

Dedicated to providing RWC students with the highest quality psychological services, Joyce also provides clinical supervision to graduate staff as well as faculty members who see students through the Counseling Center.  Her current interests include consultation/supervision, counselor development, self-injurious behavior, authentic spirituality and the role of attachment in healthy relationships.

Currently Joyce is a member of various professional organizations including the American Counseling Association, the National Association of Social Workers and the American Association of Christian Counselors and the Christian Association for Psychological Studies..  She also maintains a small private practice, attends Pearce Memorial Church and is actively involved in her neighborhood and community organizations.
