David Skiff
Prof. Skiff graduated from Roberts Wesleyan College in 1979 with his bachelor of Social Work. He went on to complete at Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary (1983) and a Master in Social Work from the University of Kentucky (1984). He is an ordained minister in the Free Methodist Church and served as a pastor for seven years before starting Covenant Christian Counseling Services in 1991. He started teaching at Roberts Wesleyan College as an adjunct professor in 1994 and has served fulltime since 1996. He has previously served the College as the Director of the Counseling Center and as the BSW Field Education Director. He currently serves as the BSW Program Director. He is a member and advisor of the Phi Alpha Honor Society and serves as faculty advisor for the Student Social Work Association.
He is currently working on completing his Ph.D. at the University of Rochester in Human Development. In 2004/2005 he began his work with the Partner Violence Intervention Project at the University of Rochester under the leadership of Dr. Susan Horwitz. He served that year as both a clinician and as a research apprentice. He has continued on with the team as their newest research assistant.
