My ties to the Counseling Center go back to the 1980’s when I served as Director of the RWC Counseling Center from 1986-1989—in fact you might as well say, I was THE counseling center. We’ve come a long way since then. With two full-time staff members and graduate staff counselors, the RWC Counseling Center is poised to provide comprehensive services to our growing campus community. While I no longer provide clinical services, I am pleased to provide administrative oversight to the Counseling Center.
In terms of my sense of the RWC Counseling Center, I believe that Christ is THE Counselor, and He uses our trained staff as instruments of His healing. When we invite Christ into the counseling process, we are truly able to provide services that address not just the emotional, psychological, and behavioral aspects of our lives, but also the spiritual.
