Where will I eat and sleep when preseason comes along?

Roberts Wesleyan will provide the athlete with food and housing during the preseason events. Ask your coach for other specific details pertaining to your sport.

When it comes to away games or travel events, who provides meals and housing?

Roberts Wesleyan and the individual teams will provide you with travel accommodations (hotel, mode of transportation, etc.) and meals
Financial Aid

Describe the different financial aid packages available.

Eligibility requirements for RWC grants include acceptable academic standing, satisfactory academic progress, and favorable record of campus citizenship and activity. Recipients must be full-time students at RWC. The total of RWC grants and other awards specified only for tuition may not exceed the cost of tuition.

How do students apply for financial aid?

Students seeking assistance though federal student loans, grants, and college work-study eligibility must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Following the first year of application, a Renewal Application sent directly to the student may be filed as an alternative.

New York State (NYS) students seeking aid through NYS Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) will need to complete the FAFSA. NYS TAP will then send an Express TAP application to be reviewed, corrected (if necessary), and returned.

Non-New York State students should check with their sates regarding financial aid available to students studying in New York Sate.

Student applying for financial aid must complete the Roberts Wesleyan College Supplemental Aid Application. This application is used to determine eligibility for institutional aid.

Mid-year transfer students may be required to submit a Financial Aid Transcript form their previous attended college, whether or not they ever applied for or received assistance.
Athletic Scholarships

How are athletic scholarships awarded?

Awards are made each year to promising students who show promise in athletics. To be eligible, students must have satisfactory academic records and unusual proficiency in their sport. Tryouts, personal interviews, and recommendations from coaches are required of the applicants. To be considered for an athletic scholarship, contact the coach of the sport you are interested in.

What types of athletic scholarships are offered?
- Contact the athletic director and/or Office of Financial Aid for your sport to get the details of your scholarship.

Is it possible for me to lose my scholarship? How?

Your scholarship is good for one year as long as you meet the eligibility requirements and the requirements of the college unless otherwise decided by the athletic director. Recipients of scholarships are responsible for participation in their sport.

Do I need to reapply or renew my scholarship to keep it from year to year?

Awards are renewable based on satisfactory achievement and good standing within the College. Recipients of these scholarships are responsible for participation in their sport.

May I be employed while receiving a scholarship?

Employment is an option for athletes on scholarship however; each coach requires that your work schedule does not interfere with the practice schedule.
