Message from the Division Chair

Susanne MohnkernDear Prospective Student,

We are pleased that you are interested in learning more about our Master of Science degree programs.  These programs, designed for the working RN, prepare nurses leaders and nurse educators.

Those interested in leadership positions in the health care system will participate in a curriculum based on nursing science and developed to hone knowledge of administration and management in nursing.  A strong business component in this curriculum prepares nurses for the financial responsibilities of nursing leadership.

Those interested in nursing education in an academic or practice setting will participate in a curriculum based on the science of nursing education.  Students will learn to design curriculum, use the latest innovative teaching technique and technological advances and will tailor their internship hours to their teaching interests.

Both degree programs feature:

  • A time-shortened format
  • Adult learning techniques
  • Building on students’ experiences as nurses
  • Working with experienced nurse leaders and educators

If you agree that this program may be ideal for you, please call the office for the Graduate Nursing Office at 585-594-6686 and make arrangements to attend an information meeting.  It will be our pleasure to meet you and share more about our program.

Sincerely,

Susanne M Mohnkern, PhD, R.N.
