Admissions Information
CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION
- Attendance at an Information Meeting
- Accumulated undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 on a scale of 4.00
- B. S. Degree with a nursing major from a nationally accredited program.
- Personal interview with program director or graduate faculty member at the discretion of the program faculty
- Licensure as a professional registered nurse within the United States, US territories, or Canada
- Evidence of personal, academic, and professional qualifications from two persons
including a recent supervisor and one person familiar with the applicant’s academic ability, professional nursing contributions, and potential to succeed in graduate studies
- Test of English as a foreign language (TOEFL), if English is not applicant's first language
- Demonstrate verification of proficiency in oral communication
- Type written personal statement of goals for graduate study in nursing administration and vision for own career development (to be used as a writing sample)
- Current professional resume describing the applicant’s relevant experience
- Successful completion (B- or higher) of courses in statistics and health assessment
