Welcome to the Division of Religion and Humanities home page. Our division houses rigorous academic programs in Communication, History, Religion/Philosophy, and English. In each of these programs, students are taught by faculty who are respected scholars in their field. Our goal, though, is not simply to train students in a specific content area. We want our students to be "liberally educated." Specifically, we want students enrolled in our programs to:

  • Better understand who they are, especially what they believe and why they believe it.
  • Better understand the diversity of thought and behavior to which we are all increasingly exposed.
  • Come to understand that all knowledge is inter-related.

We are excited about what we have to offer and hope that you will explore our programs in more detail. If questions remain, feel free to contact me personally.
