Introduction

Welcome to the Master of Science in Strategic Marketing.  If you are thinking about a career in marketing or if you have several years of marketing experience and want to move up in your organization, we believe this is the program for you.

You are probably asking – “What makes Roberts Wesleyan College’s Masters in Strategic Marketing different?”  First and foremost, the program is designed for the 21st century.  This academically rigorous program provides an opportunity for you to learn that companies in the 21st century have shifted gears from managing product portfolios to managing customer portfolios, building data bases on individual customers in order to understand them better.  For example, monologues are replaced with customer dialogues.  I personally witnessed this during my two decades of experience working in the advertising agency business serving several Fortune 100 and 500 companies on the East Coast.

Our students understand that strategic marketing drives the company’s vision, mission, and strategic planning.  Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) is very important to the development of a successful promotion.  At Roberts Wesleyan College, our students understand that perhaps the most distinctive skill of professional marketers is their ability to create, maintain, enhance, and protect brands.  They have a basic understanding of several brand management steps, including identifying and establishing brand positioning, planning and implementing brand marketing, measuring and interpreting brand performance, and growing and sustaining brand values.
