Welcome!
Roberts Wesleyan College is pleased to introduce you to the Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership Program, designed for the professional development of leaders at nonprofit organizations.
What does this program offer?
At Roberts Wesleyan College, we believe that fundamental organizational and management principles can be used by leaders and potential leaders in the nonprofit sector to strengthen both their systems and service delivery. As the pool for donor resources becomes more diluted and government regulations change the face of the nonprofit arena, the demand for highly skilled individuals has escalated. Roberts’ Nonprofit Leadership Certificate Program was designed to support you in developing the leadership skills you need to help your organization succeed, and to address the specific issues facing leaders in nonprofit organizations.
What will I learn?
Do you have the skills necessary to succeed in today’s nonprofit environment? Leaders in nonprofit organizations today face the unique challenge of combining top-notch leadership skills with nonprofit expertise to effectively interact and manage relationships within a variety of different communities. Recognizing this need, we have designed the Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership Program with a focus on leadership development in addition to traditional nonprofit management skills. Through course work and analysis of several of today’s most successful nonprofits, you will broaden your skills in the following areas:
- Organizational leadership
- Managing and motivating human resources
- Measuring organizational outcome performance and financial performance
- Seeking, managing, and budgeting resources
- Benchmarking resource allocation
